CSRO Supports California Measure to Limit Fail First Protocols

April 30, 2013 - The CSRO today expressed support for a proposal to prohibit health plans from requiring a patient to try and fail on more than two medications before allowing a physician’s preferred treatment for the patient (AB 889).

CSRO President Michael Schweitz and Vice-President Michael Stevens thanked the bill's sponsor, Assemblymember Jim Frazier, for seeking to improve patients’ access to physician-prescribed medications.
